We had a fantastic brunch at my sister’s in celebration of my mom’s 73rd birthday.
By fantastic I mean that she & her husband prepared crepes, waffles, toast, bagels, bacon, fried ham, sausage links, a plate of cheeses (American, Swiss, cheddar) and cold cuts (turkey, ham, salami), cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, scrambled eggs with peppers, coffee, juice. I think I got about half of it. Melons. Other things.
In a way, the cornucopia reproduced on the level of food what happened on the level of hilarity: this might have been the funnest and funniest time we’ve ever had together at table.
